Rev. James Sylvester Dixon, age 80, departed this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Dixon; children, Joyce Dixon, Gerard Dixon, Jacki Rowe (Willie), Gissele Randleman (Garfield), Linda Dixon-Victor, and Glenda Colvin (Lyn); brothers and sisters, Martha Bullock (Hosea), Mary Ann Walker, Deretha Carter, Clara Nailor (Eddie), Charles Dixon (Irene), and Velma Dorsey; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many god children, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clairee and Leroy Dixon, Sr.; brothers, Leroy, Jr. and George Dixon; and his sister, Earline Binghan.
He retired from Chrysler Corporation.
Funeral 11 am Wednesday, December 28 at New Community Church, 116 W. 41st Street, Wilmington, DE 19802; viewing 9-10:45 am only; burial, Gracelawn Memorial Park.
