Modesto Moreno, 70, of Soledad, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
Modesto was born April 25, 1947 in Villa Mainero, Tamaulipas, Mexico, a former resident of Texas, and resident of Monterey County since 1956. He worked for Paul Masson Vineyards, Oshita, New Star, Fresh Choice and Foothill.
He is survived by his sons; Modesto Moreno III of Visalia, Josue Moreno of Visalia, Mario Moreno of Soledad; grandchildren, Modesto Moreno IV, Jesse J. Moreno, Evan Matthew Moreno, Elena M. Moreno; siblings, Alejandrina M. Olazaran, Noemi M. Armenta, Olga M. Ramirez, Araceli M. Serrato, Guadalupe Moreno, Ezequiel Moreno, Jerardo Moreno. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosita; parents, Julio & Consuelo Moreno; brothers, Jose Angel, Julio Jr. & Noe Moreno.
Memorial service will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11 am at Woodyard Funeral Home, Soledad. Friends and family may gather 1 hour prior to service. Following services, a reception will be held at 235 West St, Soledad.
Inurnment will take place at the Soledad Cemetery District.
