Harold David Reed Jr, known as David, passed away on Saturday May 16, 2015. He was 59. David was born in Waynesboro, PA to Harold David Reed Sr (Dave) and Belva (Hamilton)Reed. He was raised in Porter, WA and graduated from Elma High School in 1974. He worked as a farm hand, at an auction house, and in saw mills all over Grays Harbor.
David lived most of his life in Porter and was a volunteer firefighter for several years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, known on the CB as "Grizzlybear". He loved to go to the car races and cheer on family.
He is survived by his only child, his daughter Shawn Reed and her fiancé Ralph Miller III of North Adams, MA. 2 brothers Lynn (Cathy)Reed of Elma WA, Ron (cheryl) Reed of Elma, sister Karma Pharris of Elma; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and of course his best friend, his dog Angel.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mccleary Community Center on June 7th at 1pm - it will be a potluck/bbq.
