James Edward Latch passed away at home on May 26, 2015 in Montesano, WA. He was 63. He was born on November 25th, 1951 in Eugene, OR to Ilo and Gladys Latch. He was raised in Eugene, OR and Montesano, WA. He served in the Army and studied diesel technology at Grays Harbor College.
On December 22, 1991, He married Sheryl Miller in Montesano, WA. She survives him at the family home. James was employed by Grays Harbor Transit. He liked beekeeping, shooting, tinkering on stuff and spending time with the grandkids.He thoroughly enjoyed country music, his favorite songs being "Walking in Memphis" by Marc Cohn, and "Button Off My Shirt" by Ronnie Milsap. He was a member of a Ham Radio club, and a member of the Montesano Moose Lodge #1210.
Along with his wife, James is survived by his children; sons Jesse Latch and Jason Latch of Montesano, Christopher Latch of California, step daughters Karla Kershaw of Montesano, and Becky Hayter of Shelton. 8 grandkids, with one on the way, a baby girl named McKenna Rose Latch. James was preceded in death by his parents Ilo and Gladys Latch, brother Charles Latch Sr and sister Carolyn Malizia.
Graveside services are set for Thursday, June 11 at 11:00 AM at the Wynoochee Cemetery in Montesano.
