James Michael (Mike) Edminster, a 21 year Montesano resident died on Friday, May 15, 2015 in Olympia, Washington. He was 66 years old. James was born on March 30, 1949 to James W. and Josephine (Law) Edminster in Pampa, Texas where he was raised and attended Pampa High School. He attended Texas Tech University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
On August 1, 1970, he married Lark Roe in Phillips, Texas. She survives him at the family home in Montesano. James worked for Anderson Middleton in Hoquiam, Washington. In his free time, he enjoyed tennis, biking, traveling, playing with his grandkids, coaching youth sports and supporting missions work. He loved Jesus, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Montesano and Calvary Chapel Montesano.
James is survived by his wife, Lark and two children; Jason Scot Edminster of Arlington, Virginia and Deborah Norton of Olympia, Washington, along with 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father James, older sister Diana Ruth Bost, and a younger brother Richard Scott Edminster
A service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2015, with visitation to begin at 12:00 PM and a service to follow at 2:00PM at Calvary Chapel, 114 W Marcy Ave, Montesano, Washington, 98563. Graveside will follow at Wynoochee Cemetery in Montesano.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Set Free Ministries of Elma www.setfreeelma.org.
