Dorothy M. Griewank, age 85 of Plymouth, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.

Dorothy was born on April 5, 1931 in Miami County, Indiana to Darwin and Mildred (Han) Baker. On June 20, 1948 Dorothy became the bride of Roy D. Griewank in a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. Roy preceded Dorothy in passing on February 2, 1994. Dorothy worked for over 20 years at the O & H Jewelers and Al's Garage where she was office manager and bookkeeper. Dorothy was an Eastern Star member and a Rainbow Mother Advisor. She attended the Pretty Lake United Methodist Church. Dorothy enjoyed crafting, bowling and Euchre. She will be fondly remembered by all who loved her.

Dorothy is survived by daughter, Barb and Jim Weisser of Granger, Indiana; sons, James and Sherri Griewank of Plymouth, Indiana and Bruce and Shari Griewank of Spencerville, Indiana; her sister, Pat Adams of Indianapolis, Indiana, and sister-in-law, Sandra Baker of Culver, Indiana; Dorothy was further blessed with 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her parents, husband, Roy; son, David; brother, Richard Baker; and her sister, Dolores Walter.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, Indiana 46563 on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in the New Oakhill Cemetery.

The Griewank family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Dorothy be given to the Center of Hospice and Palliative Care, 112 S. Center Street Plymouth, Indiana 46563 or the American Lung Association, 115 W. Washington Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
