LaVerne Mayabelle Turner, age 95 and a long-time resident of the Peoria area, united with Jesus on June 6 at Evergreen Senior Living facility in Chillicothe. She was born on January 30, 1922 to Frederick and Kathleen (Sullivan) Hasenfang and married Ralph E. Turner on December 10, 1945 in Chicago.
Surviving is her husband, Ralph; three children, Ralph (Linda) Turner, Jr., Michael (Karen) Turner and Bridget (Barry) Schnepel; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five furry grand-dogs. She was a regular member of the Bethany Baptist Church congregation.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at The Wilton Mortuary with Rev. Lyall Sutton will be officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the mortuary on Thursday, June 8. Burial will be at Mt. Hawley Cemetery in Peoria.
