East Peoria—Pearl Elizabeth Bruns, 100, of Morton formerly of East Peoria, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born in Annawan, Illinois on January 3, 1916, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Miller Theobald, Pearl married Siebrand B. Bruns on September 9, 1937 in Peoria. He died February 10, 1999 in East Peoria.
Also preceding Pearl in death were two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Morris (Sandie ) Bruns, of Morton, Dennis (Janice ) Bruns of Brimfield; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pearl was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, in Morton, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill PTA.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 325 E. Queenwood Rd., Morton, IL 61550 with Pastor Jeff Anderson and Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran School or OSF Hospice.
