She was born December 6, 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri and raised by Talcott F. "Daddy Bill" and Susie (Foster) Seger. She married Tillman T. Ketcherside and he died on January 3, 1993 in Peoria. Dora was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Lynwood Foster; a daughter, Terry Sue Miller; and grandson, Todd Miller.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lee (Stephen) Hacker of East Peoria; son, Steve (Sandy) Ketcherside of Hanna City; five grandchildren, Gaylynn Allen, Kristin (John) Rembold, Josh, Jake, and Sara Ketcherside; four great-grandchildren, Raechel Pfahl, Reid Rembold, Ian Allen, and Alex Ketcherside; four nieces and nephews, Barbara Faye Foster, Gene (Kathy) Foster, Dennis (Ginger) Foster, and Jim (Kathie) Foster.
Dora lived her childhood in Potosi, Missouri, which she always referred to as "down home". Upon marrying Till, they moved to East Peoria. She worked as a bookkeeper, office clerk and manager for the businesses they started together and owned for 40 plus years until they both retired. Not slowing down even when they moved to the farm on the outskirts of Peoria where they raised cattle. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the "Frog Pond". She also loved spending time with her dear friends, the "Pool Puppies". Dora was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no service. A visitation will be from 3 to 6 pm on Saturday May 9, 2015 at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria.
