PEORIA--Jacqueline H. Tatting, of Peoria, died Thursday April 12, 2012 at 11:42 a.m. at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
She was born in Ottawa to Carlyle M. and Dorothy M. Emrich Harkins. She married Warren Frederick Tatting on June 9, 1963 in Peoria. He died August 4, 1998 in Rochester, Minnesota.
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, William and Richard Harkins.
Jackie is survived by her three children, Terri (David) Versace of Chicago, Christina Tatting of Rochester, Minnesota, and Brian Tatting (Jennifer Hoerup) of Niskayuna, New York; two grandchildren, Deklin and Tessa Versace of Chicago; and her beloved Siamese cat, Misty.
She attended Grinnell College and Bradley University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bradley and later earned an Associates degree in Applied Science from Illinois Community College. She was an accountant and office assistant for many architects over her career.
Jackie was a dedicated and gifted seamstress and quilter who loved to share her enthusiasm with friends and family. She was an accomplished bridge player and active in the local bridge community as both a player and a teacher.
Private graveside service will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria will be handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice. A gathering for friends and family will be held at Weaver Ridge Golf Club from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 16.
