Services for Otto Duesterhoft, Jr., 81 of Somerville are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Burleson County Cowboy Church, 300 CR 169, Caldwell, Texas, with Bro. Harvey Abke officiating. Interment will follow at EV Friedens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 also at the funeral home. Otto Duesterhoft, Jr. died January 24, 2016.

Otto was born July 21, 1934 to Otto Duesterhoft and Ida Mae (Hermann) Duesterhoft in Gay Hill, Texas. He married Ora Dean Meyer on August 26, 1956. Otto loved to work on the land with his backhoe and enjoyed making hay. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and playing dominos. Otto was always a "supervisor" around his home.

Otto is survived by his wife Ora Dean (Meyer) Duesterhoft of Somerville; sons and daugthters-in-law, Alan Wayne and Ilesa Duesterhoft, Douglas Lynn and Karen Duesterhoft, Otto and Idalia Duesterhoft, III; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Erlene and Carl Bartek, Sandra Dean and Stephen Maldonado; 26 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Stewart Ben Duesterhoft, four sisters, Elsie, Wilma, Alice, Carrie Mae; and three brothers, Herbert, Ervin, and Raymond.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lewis Duesterhoft, Jeep Duesterhoft, Travis Duesterhoft, C.J. Bartek, Stuart Bartek, Stevie Maldonado, Sebastian Maldonado, Curtis Anderson, Pete Garcia, and special friend, Scott LaFon. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren Robert Sanchez, Koy Brinkmeyer, Charles Sleeth, and great grandchildren, Thomas Duesterhoft, Stephen Wyatt Duesterhoft, Zechariah Brinkmeyer, Jayce Glass, Charles Sleeth, Jr., Brewster Sleeth, Lain Sleeth, Candon Sanchez, Travis Duesterhoft, Jr., Garret Duesterhoft, Andres Garcia, Carmelo Garcia, Mateo Garcia, and Zachary Anderson, and special friend Leandro Sosa.
