Funeral services for Mauri Christen Blankenship, 56, of Cooks Point are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Caldwell, with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mrs. Blankenship died at her home near Cooks Point surrounded by her family on November 12, 2015.

Mauri was born September 2, 1959 to James Marcus Anderson and Glyndon (McElreath) Anderson in Abilene, Texas. She married Nick Blankenship on August 14, 1982. Mauri was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caldwell and also the Sisters in Christ Sunday School Class.

Mauri is survived by her husband, Nick Blankenship of Caldwell; her mother Glyndon Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, David Adam and Chelsie Blankenship; daughters, Machelle Corley, Brandy Jo Blankenship; brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Cindy Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Joe Vara; grandchildren, Chelsea Corley, Paisley Nicole Corley, Zaden Journey Blankenship, Megan Garza, Cullen Garza; and great grandson, Nathan Lane Corley.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Marcus Anderson; and son, James Andrew Blankenship.
