April 27, 1974 ~ February 20, 2014
Patricia Ann Gonzales, 39, of Somerville, died Thursday February 20, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. A Funeral Mass is set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22nd at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville with Fr. Nock Russell officiating. Interment will follow at the Mexican Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 21st with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
Patricia Gonzales was born April 27, 1974 in Brenham, Texas. She was a graduate of Somerville High School and was always helping someone in need. She was a volunteer at the meals for the elderly at the Senior Center in Somerville. She was also a longtime member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville until she recently moved to Bryan. What she will be most remembered for is always taking care of her grandmother, Maria Saldivar. She always had time for her nieces and nephews and touched the lives of many people.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather: Maria Gonzales and Frank Quintero, Brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Heather Perez, sister and brother-in-law: Shelly and Johnny Gray, grandmother: Maria Saldivar, aunt: Janie Duran, aunt and uncles: Lalo and Irma Gonzales, Richard and Diana Gonzales, Shirley and Domingo Bernal, uncle: Johnny Gonzales, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her great grandparents: Maria and Domingo Bernal, grandfathers: Medardo (Lalo) Gonzales and Ed Saldivar.
Serving as pallbearers are: Alex Duran III, Eric Gonzales, Rickey Gonzales, Johnny Gray, Rene Candelaria, and Edward Vasquez. Honorary pallbearer is Leon Candelaria.
