Jonathon  Harrison
  

Jonathan Farnell Harrison, son of Hazel Harrison and the late Ernest C. Harrison, Sr., was born on February 20, 1962 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

"Bro" as he was known, departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Jonathan's parents journeyed to Newark, New Jersey where he attended the Newark Public Scholl System. At the age of seventeen, Jonathan enlisted in the United States Army. While serving in the Army, he recieved many honors, one of which stated that he was a "Professional Soldier of the Highest Calliber" as a member of the first Battalion, 8th Calvary Division. In 1985, he was promoted to Sergeant.

Jonathan was a devoted member of the Philemon Baptist Church. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Theresa Alexander-Harrison; two sons, Jonathan C. McClendon Harrison and Derrick Alexander; one daughter, Tameeka Alexander; his loving mother, Hazel Harrison; three sisters, Beverly Harrison, Tenessa Harrison-Keyton, and Danielle Hill-Harrison; two foster sisters, Ethel Smith-Thomas, and Katherine Philips-Edwards; five brothers, Ernest Harrison Jr., Undray, Robert, Melvin and James, all of New Jersey; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Harrison of New Jersey and Monique Harrison of Georgia; one brother-in-law, Willie Keyton Jr.; eight aunts, Doris Thorne, Sarah, Edna, and Yolanda Bynum, Shirley Clark, and Ethel Best all of North Carolina, Sandra Green and Betty Bynum both of Irvington, New Jersey; five uncles, Lynwood, Melvin, and Rev. Moore Bynum, Bozzie Thorne, and Joseph Best all of North Carolina; a special friend, Sharon McClendon; his extended family, Alvin Stokley, Leon Daniels, Jerome Mason, and Keith Smith, all of New Jersey; twenty-seven nieces; twelve nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
