Our beloved Janice Faye Parrish Devoe was born January 24, 1949 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Mary and Coy Parrish. She entered in eternal rest on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Overlook Cancer Center in Summit, New Jersey.
Janice was employed by Wal-Mart from 2004-2007. She was also a childcare provider in her home for over 30 years.
Janice known to many as mommy/nana will be remembered for her loving and caring ways, her strong will and dedication to her family and friends.
Janice was predeceased by her two sons, Rodney Burt and Cedric Parrish.
Janice was a resident of Fords, NJ. She leaves a lifetime of memories with: her husband, Willie Devoe; one daughter, Joyce Smith; three sons, Shavon Ragan Devoe, Melvin Smith Devoe and Michael Darven; father-in-law, Thomas Andrews; six grandchildren, Cedric Parrish Jr., Yaritva Parrish, Oscar Collado, Anthonio Parrish, Christian Parrish and Shanel Smith;
Janice leaves: two brothers, Charlie James Balkman (Ruth), Coy Parrish (Bertha) both of Bainbridge, GA; surrogate sister, Sharlene Bell; three brothers-in-law, Marvin (Sandra) Walters, Vondrel Walters and Keith; five sisters-in-law, Vermel, Audrey, Tracy, Shavon and Margo (Michael).
Janice also leaves behind several godchildren that she held dear to her heart, Tosha Pressley, Cheryle Russel, Diane Wellington, Jerome Bell Jr., Tiarra Bonnier, Ishaya Holt and Jaslynn Vargas and a host of other godchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
