Edward F. Casteel Jr., 61 of Sullivan, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
He was born Jan. 22, 1956 in Lodi, Ohio to Edward F. and Thelma J. (Norris) Casteel.
Ed grew up in Chatham, and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1975.
He had resided in the Lodi area most of his life before moving to Sullivan this past April.
He was currently employed by Gerber Poultry in Kidron.
Ed was the person that would do anything to help others and loved his garden railroad.
Surviving are his wife Denise (nee Piatt), to whom he married on May 21, 1977;
Sons, Casey (Peggy) Casteel of Sullivan
Christopher (Kalie) Casteel of Akron
Grandchildren, Shelby and Chance Casteel
Sister, Linda (Tim) Kratzer of Seville
Brother, Steve Fischer of Lodi
Many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother George Fischer
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 8, at 3:00 PM at the Sullivan Congregational Church, 503 U.S. 224, Sullivan.
Pastor Robert Gault will officiate.
Visitation will start at 2:00 PM at the church.
