Robert K. Gerne II, 54, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Health South in Toms River.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O'Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. The funeral mass will be offered at St. Cassian's Church in Upper Montclair at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation is on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Born in Belleville, he lived most of his life in Glen Ridge, the last 16 years in Montclair and was the owner of R. Gerne Landscaping of Glen Ridge.
He was the husband of Brianne Stapp Gerne, son of Claire Riley Gerne and the late Robert K. Gerne, father of Riley J., Morgan M., Michael R., and Jack B., brother of Claire Valente, Anne Wodenshek, Sean, Katherine and Christopher Gerne. He was the former husband of Kara Gerne.
