Harriet C. Gibson (nee Armstrong) 77, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home in Glen Ridge.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O'Boyle Funeral Home 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church 200 Highfield Lane in Nutley at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation is on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Gibson lived in Nutley and the last 40 years in Glen Ridge.
She worked as an admissions clerk at Passaic General Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 2000.
Harriet was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church for 54 years.
She was the wife of the late John A. Gibson Jr., mother of Deborah Kelly and her husband Dennis, Donna Stratigis and her husband Steve and Judith Sorensen and her husband Nicholas, grandmother of Kelsey, Tara, Shannon, Colin and Lukas. She was the sister of James Armstrong and his wife Susan and the late Harry Armstrong, sister in law of Barbara Armstrong, Barbara Gibson and the late Robert Gibson.
