Raymond James Hrabcak, age 81, of Attica, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Raymond was born August 30, 1935 in Monroe, to Andrew and Anna (Hostinsky) Hrabcak. He married Martha "Marty" Wilkins on August 4, 1956 in Warren, Michigan. Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S Marines, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Hrabcak was a journeyman tool maker for Ford Motor Company, working at the Sterling Plant and the Van Dyke Plant for many years. Mr. Hrabcak was very accomplished...he could build furniture, play banjo, make jewelry and was very good at finding treasures with his metal detector. He especially enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino.
Mr. Hrabcak is survived by his wife: Martha "Marty" Hrabcak of Attica; children: Karen (Ted) Davis of North Carolina, Kevin (Nancy) Hrabcak of Cass City and Kellene (Tom) Haggadone of Lapeer; 9 grandchildren; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Anna Hrabcak; brother: Stephen Hrabcak; and sister: Mary Elliott.
Visitation will be 4-8PM Friday, July 14, 2017, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Raymond's funeral service will be 11AM Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Muir Brothers in Lapeer. Rev. Marvin Ramthun will officiate the service, military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard will follow immediately after the funeral. Cremation will take place after the service and Mr. Hrabcak's cremains will be buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, at a later date.
