Jeanette Loraine Gerritsen, 90, of St. Clair Shores formerly of Imlay City, died Sunday July 2, 2017. She was born June 21, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Charles and Agnes (Runea) Yntema. Jeanette married Berend "Ben" Gerritsen.
Mrs. Gerritsen attended Bethel Lutheran Church, St. Clair Shores for many years. In her day, Jeanette enjoyed crafting, reading and traveling with Mr. Gerritsen.
She is survived by her sons: Doug (Donna) Gerritsen; Bruce (Lisa) Gerritsen, grandchildren: David; Jamie; Michael and Holden. Mrs. Gerritsen was preceded in death by her husband: Ben, many siblings as well as her parents.
Jeanette's visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Thursday July 6, 2017 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Her funeral will be 1:00P.M. Friday at Muirs. Cremation will follow services.
