Evelyn Esther Carson, 80, of Vassar formerly of Lapeer, died Friday June 30, 2017. She was born December 22, 1936 in Lapeer to parents Leslie and Gladys (Millikin) Moses. Evelyn married George Carson on August 29, 1953 in Lapeer.
Mrs. Carson worked at the Lapeer State Home and later for Albar Industries. She was known for her love of sewing and knitting. Evelyn always enjoyed going up north camping and some fishing with Mr. Carson.
She is survived by her children: Bob (Debi) Carson of Vassar; Sue Carson of Vassar; Mike Carson of Lapeer; Mark (Kathy) Carson of Millington, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and sister: Marion (Wendell) Barnhill. Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by her husband: George in 2014, siblings: Ferris Moses; Donna Chrysler; Linnie Seaman; Doris Nichols and Lois Douglas as well as her parents.
Evelyn's visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Thursday July 6, 2017 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Her funeral will be 11:00A.M. Friday at Muirs. Cremation will follow services.
