David Norman Fox, 62 of Lapeer (formerly of Madison Heights), died Thursday, May 18, 2017.

David was born June 1, 1954 in Detroit to Donald and Lois (Rivers) Fox. He graduated from Lamphere High School, class of 1972. David married Susan Crittenden on October 26, 1974 in Madison Heights. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Dave was a sales account manager working in the manufacturing automation industry. Through the years, Dave worked for several companies but particularly enjoyed his time working with Jesse Wyka at Fame Industries in Wixom. David had many, many work friends and cherished them all. He had professional relationships throughout the United States, Russia, China and Mexico. Outside of work, Dave was an avid outdoorsman.

David is survived by his wife, Susan Fox; children: Catherine Fox of Lapeer and Donald (Crystal) Fox of Davison; mother, Lois (Alvin) Shankle of St. Helen; siblings: Robin Hauserman, Donald (Marge) Fox, Kenneth (Dawna) Fox, John Fox and Dan (Pam) Fox; brother-in-law, Paul (Sandy) Crittenden. Dave was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Fox; step-mother, Jane (Lantz) Fox and his brother-in-law, Thomas Crittenden.

Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 and 1-4/6-8PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. David's funeral service will be 11:00AM Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Muir Brothers. Military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #16 will immediately follow the service on Thursday.
