Emma H. Goss, age 93, of Lapeer, formerly of Attica, died Monday, February 27, 2017. Emma was born January 11, 1924 in Lapeer, to parents Edward and Carrie (Thomas) Heck. She married Glenn Goss on December 7, 1939 in Lapeer. Mrs. Goss has been an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer. Emma loved knitting, sewing, crocheting and everything involved with caring for her family and her home. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Goss is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Bob) Rankin of Metamora and Bonnie (Jack) Hildner of Riverton, Wyoming; daughter-in-law: Valda Goss of Lapeer; grandchildren: Cheryl (John) Lucey of Grayling, Marilyn (Tim) Ignasiak of Kent City, Michigan, Anne Kridler of Kent City, Michigan, Susan Bertram of Seattle, Washington, Mike (Jill) Hildner of Casper, Wyoming, and Paul Hildner of Spokane, Washington; great-grandchildren: Beth Middlestadt, Ben Lucey, Justin Overhiser, Nick Kridler, Meredith Ignasiak, Donald Kridler, Joel Ignasiak, Zachary (Trinity) Hildner, Breeanna Hildner, Rhylan Hildner and Kiara Hildner; great-great grandchildren: Joclynn Hildner and Bentley Hildner; and several nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by her husband: Glenn Goss; son: Roger Goss; parents: Edward and Carrie Heck; and brothers: Junior Carl Heck, Jay Heck, Raymond Heck and Ralph Heck.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8PM Friday, March 3, 2017, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Emma's funeral service will be 11AM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Muir Brothers, Rev. Grant Lobb will officiate, with a funeral luncheon to follow immediately after the funeral at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer. Burial will be in Imlay Township Cemetery.
