Eleanor Margaret Krauss, age 86, of Lapeer, formerly of Rochester, Michigan, died Saturday, February 11, 2017. Eleanor was born January 31, 1931 in Detroit, to Richard and Margaret (Voss) Hahn. She married Harold Krauss on September 27, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Krauss worked as a teacher's assistant in Rochester Schools for over 17 years, retiring in 1989. Eleanor was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer, worshipping as a lifelong member of Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church. Mrs. Krauss was a wonderful cook, everyone especially enjoyed her delicious baked goods. Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Krauss is survived by her husband: Harold Krauss of Lapeer; children: Frederick (Dora) Krauss of Naples, Florida, Margaret (Paul) Dallas of Cape Coral, Florida, Steven (Terry) Krauss of Debary, Florida and Janice (Tim) Demaray of Melvin, Michigan; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister: Annaliese (Cliff) Pfeifle of Metamora. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Margaret Hahn.

Visitation will be 4-8PM Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Eleanor's funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday, February 17, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer, Rev. John Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.
