William Arthur Griffith, 66, of Ortonville formerly of the Lapeer area, died Monday December 26, 2016. He was born April 22, 1950 in Lapeer to parents Pat and Helen (Davis) Griffith.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National American Legion and the Oxford Post #108. Mr. Griffith married Roberta A. Fordham on September 28, 2013 at their home in Ortonville. He enjoyed riding Haley Davidsons, throwing darts and shootin' billiards. Bill was a likeable man, who would do anything if you needed him to. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Griffith is survived by his wife: Robbie, his parents: Pat & Helen Griffith of Attica, children: Caleb Griffith; Tyler Whims and Alana Whims, grandchildren: Deacon, Kyrus, siblings: Bob Griffith; Sara (William) Schuyler; Karen (Gene) Cady and Brenda (Matt) King as well as many extended family members.
Bill's memorial service will be 11:00am Friday December 30, 2016 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The interment of cremated remains will eventually take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
