Andrea Faye Owen, age 71, of Lapeer, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Mrs. Owen was born March 19, 1945 in Eldorado, Illinois, to Tracy and Mildred (Mills) Ledbetter. Andrea married Larry Carter in December of 1962, in Detroit. She married Craig Owen on March 3, 1984 in Lapeer. Andrea's love for God came first in her life. She attended the Lapeer Church of God and the LifeLaunch Church in Lapeer. Family meant everything to Mrs. Owen! She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, always taking time for family gatherings and dinners. Andrea enjoyed picking on her son-in-laws, shopping, drinking coffee and she had a great sense of humor.
Mrs. Owen is survived by her husband: Craig Owen of Lapeer; children: Benjamin (Suzette) Carter of Georgia, Tracy Carter of Midland, Patrick (Tricia) Carter of North Branch, Rebecca (Lucas) Sayen of Lapeer, Victoria Carter of Lapeer, Crystal (Christopher) Rathbun of Metamora and Erin (Joshua) Vermett of Lapeer; 20 grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren; brother: Michael (Charlotte) Ledbetter of Warren. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents: Tracy and Mildred Ledbetter; and grandson: Noah Marshall.
Visitation will 4-8PM Friday, June 10, 2016, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Andrea's funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the funeral home. Rev. Ed Chandler will officiate, with burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Condolences may be placed at www.MuirBrothersLapeer.com
