Vivian Gussie Bottger, 74, of Lapeer (formerly of Detroit), died Sunday, January 31, 2016.
Vivian was born February 25, 1941 in Detroit to parents Leonard and Margerie Vivian (Weaver) Burdick. Vivian graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit, class of 1960. She married Gary Emerson Bottger on October 31, 1964 in Detroit. Vivian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Gary Bottger; two daughters: Vivian (Ron) Yack of Sarasota, FL and Virginia (Jim) Slater of Lapeer; seven grandchildren: Victoria, Zachary, Jacob, Jillian, Stephanie, Joshua and Cynthia. Vivian was preceded in death by her sister, Narcissa Lee Spence and her parents.
Visitation will be held 4-8PM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Vivian's funeral service will be 11:00AM Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home Lapeer – Pastor Grant Lobb officiating. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leader Dogs for the Blind or Immaculate Conception Church.
