Elfriede Ramsey, 83, of Lapeer, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
Elfriede was born October 3, 1931in Munich, Germany to parents Josef and Anna (Beznoska) Kaufman. She graduated high school in Munich, Germany. She married Charles Ramsey on July 29, 1959 in Munich. Elfriede was a loving mother and lifetime military wife. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church since 1972.
Elfriede is survived by her husband, Charles Ramsey; seven children: Richard (Vicki) Ramsey of Fremont, OH, Harold Ramsey of Hyde Park, Charlene Ramsey of Columbiaville, Carrie Rapley of Red Hook, NY, Curtis (Becky) Ramsey of North Branch, Albert (Holly) Ramsey of Pontiac and Alfred Ramsey of Swartz Creek; eight grandchildren: Chris, Joey, Shaun, Jason, David, Rodney, Shawn and Cody; eighteen great grandchildren; sister-in-laws: Inge Kaufman of Germany and Billie Cruea of Indiana. Elfriede was preceded in death by her brother, Roman Kaufman her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Elfriede's Funeral Mass will be 11:00AM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer - Father Raymond Arwady will officiate. Burial will immediately follow Mass at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lapeer.
