WEIR – Debra Weir, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2016 after a battle with illness. She was the loving wife of Kirk A. Weir for over 30 years. Born April 30, 1958 in Torrington; the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Evanoski) Dietlin. After working for Baltimore Business Forms for approx. 20 years, when they relocated out of state, Debra took the opportunity to pursue her higher education achieving her Master's Degree. Much to her great joy, she was then hired as Assistant to the Director of the Academic Skills Center where she touched many lives of students. She enjoyed camping especially with Wes and Cindy, watching the horse races, doing ceramics, and living up on beautiful Winchester Lake. Debra was also an avid Yankees fan. She was a devoted mother and patient wife and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband and his parents, she leaves her biggest joys in life, her two hard-working sons, Zachary D. Weir and Levi A. Weir, both of Winchester Center; a brother, James Dietlin and his family; and a sister, Diane King and her family. She also leaves her beloved dog "Lucy." Graveside Services will be held in the spring at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Winsted. There will be no calling hours. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements.
