WHEELER – Todd M. Wheeler, 46, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 with his wife by his side after a long struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was the loving husband of Angela (Curti) Wheeler for 21 years. Born March 2, 1968 in Winsted, CT; the son of Thomas Wheeler and wife Pattie of Berlin and Doreen Beach and husband Jere of Winsted. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Connor and Adam, both of Winsted; brother, Scott Wheeler and wife Allison of Barkhamsted; grandfather, Irving Simons of Winsted; grandmother, Louise Wheeler of Torrington; father & mother-in-law, Ciro and Cathy Curti of Rocky Hill; brother/sister-in-law, Tony & Lynn Curti of Manchester; sister-in-law, Laura McNamara of Wethersfield; nieces/nephews, Macie, Evan & Brody Wheeler, Christina Defocy, Stephen Curti, Kathleen Chokas, Kyle & Shannon McNamara; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many very special friends. He was predeceased by a grandmother, Florence "Mamie" Simons and a grandfather, Lyle Wheeler. Todd was an avid NASCAR, Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed fishing. Friends may call on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 2 – 5 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Joseph's Church, Winsted at 11AM. Burial will follow at Winchester Center Cemetery, Winchester.
