Cigliano, John J. It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of John, who passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012. He was born on June 1, 1931 and was a lifetime resident of San Pedro, Ca. John Cigliano exemplified kindness, generosity and caring for others. As owner of State Fish Company, the fruits of his years of hard work were always shared with those in need, touching the lives of family and friends alike for years to come. John not only served his community but his country as well, serving in the navy during the Korean War. He continued the legacy of his father, helping to build State Fish Co. into a major fish distributor. He worked hard but always put others first, family and friends alike. If you needed help, John would never turn his shoulder to you. He was a friend to all in the community and his loss will be deeply felt. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Mary Cigliano and his brother Anthony.
