Ruby Nell Johnson went to be with her Lord, on February 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 31, 1927 in Connerville, Oklahoma to parents, Virgil and Moneda Sutterfield. Ruby married Barney Johnson in 1945; and they were married for sixty years. The last few years of their marriage, she faithfully cared for him as he slipped away with Alzheimer's.
Ruby and Barney, in their younger days loved to roller skate and were very good at it. She loved fishing and playing 42 or 84, the game of dominoes. Ruby was a gifted crafter and always loved sharing her crafts. She was a hairdresser by trade but was also a great seamstress. Most of all, Ruby truly loved her church, her family and all of her nieces and nephews. She was always said that to not have any children she had more than anyone. Ruby was an inspiration to her nieces and nephews and touched their life in so many ways and was loved by each and everyone one of them.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Johnson and her parents, Virgil and Moneda Sutterfield.
She is survived by brothers, Doug Sutterfield, Dois and wife, Edith Sutterfield, Don and his wife, Sally Sutterfield and one sister, Joann Staton. She also leaves behind a great host of nieces and nephews.
