Mr. Van S. Jackson was born on April 5, 1942 to parents Willie and Carrie (James) Jackson in Smithville, Texas. He was the youngest of their seven children.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Sewilla (Jackson) Valentine and Ruby Lucille (Jackson) Smith (Tuda). Van was called home on Monday February 9, 2015. He is survived by his siblings Randy Jackson, Marcus (Bubba) Jackson, Willie (Jap) Jackson, and Pearl (Jackson) Greenwell.
He also leaves behind his loving children Vanessa Jackson, Steve Jackson (Cindy), Karen Jackson, Lacy Spears (Trent). He was also the proud grandfather of Anthony Jackson (Steve), Joshua Nanez, Lauren Spears (Lacy) and Theodore Spears (Lacy).
Van is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Flowers may be delivered to Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, February 15, beginning at 1:30 pm
Services entrusted to A Life Celebration by Franklin, Taylor, Texas.
