Robert E. Hite, known to his friends and family as "Bob", 79, of Burleson, TX died Sunday May 25 2014 in his home.
He was born February 16, 1935 to Oral Lee and Jessie Rebecca (Bagley) Hite in Topeka, KS.
He married Marilyn Elaine Gates on June 14, 1958.
Mr. Hite spent a long and successful career in the Aerospace industry as a software engineer. He participated in the Mercury, Apollo, Minuteman and Space Shuttle programs.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn; sons, Jerry Hite (Donna), Seattle, WA; Lee Hite (Kelli), Joshua TX; and Grandsons Joshua and Logan Hite.
