John B. Scagnelli 68, beloved husband, father and friend, of Holmdel passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. John was born in New York City and has resided in Holmdel for the past 26 years. Mr. Scagnelli was the former president of the HYAA, a former Holmdel Planning Board Member, and was also a parishioner of St. Catharine’s R.C. Church in Holmdel.
Surviving are his wife Barbara Scagnelli, son John Scagnelli, daughter Kara Scagnelli, sister Madeline Poggioli, nieces, Donna, Lisa, and Kerry, nephew Joseph, and his dog Dante.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 9:15AM at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery.
