Byron, Cheryl Ann Cross, 56, lost her courageous battle with cancer on February 22, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 3:00P.M. in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. The Reverend Bill Bagwell will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00PM to 3:00P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Cheryl Cross to Pine Pointe Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon Georgia 31210.
Miss Cross was born on August 12, 1955 to the late CB Cross and raised by her step father William L. Jennings Sr and mother, the late Charlene Rawlings Jennings.
Survivors: Son: Donald Felton Whittle Jr. of Byron, brother: William L. Jennings, Jr. of Warner Robins, Sisters: Jackie Colson (Bob) of Perry and Kelly Ennis (Larry) of Macon. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice for their kindness and loving care of Miss Cross during her final weeks. Deepest gratitude is also extended to Christel Collier of Goodwill Nursing Home for her compassion and care. Cheryl will be remembered as a loving, devoted mother. Her memory will be forever treasured by her family and friends.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
