Donald G. Fox, age 71, of Manchester, died Monday, January 1, 2007 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Fox was born on February 10, 1935 in Heavener, Oklahoma, the son of the late Emerson and Bertha (Davis) Fox. After schooling he enlisted in the Air Force where he was stationed at Grenier Air Force Base in Manchester. He married Carol Annis on February 14, 1954 in Derry, NH. Upon his discharge from the Air Force he worked for W.F. Schonland & Sons Meats until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by a son Randy Fox in 1989 and a brother.
His family includes: his wife of 52 years Carol Fox of Manchester, five children; Donna Fox of Manchester, Paul Tony Fox of Manchester, Gale Fox of Manchester, John Fox of Manchester, and Roseann Fox of Manchester, one sister Velma Martin of CA, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut Street. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
