Larry K. Kingma, age 62 of Ferndale and former Lynden resident, crossed over on Thursday, February 15, in Irvine, California. Larry was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County where he was a businessman and Real Estate agent, but was best known as a golfer. His love of the game was a close second to his love of life. He will be remembered for his laughter and his infectious smile. His presence could brighten a room. He is survived by his long-time companion, Robin Craig; children Marlys Goseco and husband Frank of Irvine, CA., Duane Kingma of New York, NY, Dean Kingma of Irvine, CA. and Derek Kildall of Ferndale; brothers Dale Kingma and wife Mary; sisters Penny Matheson and husband Mike and Kristi Jansen and husband Vic; grandchildren Matthew O’Neill, Taylor O’Neill, Andrea O’Neill and Madison Goseco; step-mother Mickey Kingma of Lynden as well as many extended family and friends. “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.” Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 12:30 pm in Greenacres Memorial Park. A reception and time of fellowship will follow at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. Memorials in Larry’s name may be made to the Whatcom Human Society, 3710 Williamson Way, Bellingham, WA. 98226.
