Mr. Albert Schulz, age 75 of Sumas, went to be with his Lord at his home on Thursday, March 10, 2005.
Albert was born in Bessarabia, USSR on August 7, 1929 and was the son of Edward and Christine (Hein) Schulz. He grew up there and then moved to Germany where he lived during World War II and emigrated to Canada in 1953. He was married to Margritta Schroeder in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 2, 1962. They moved to San Jose, California in 1963 and in 1971 to the Sumas area in 1971 where he and Margritta operated a dairy farm on the Bishop Road.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Fellowship in Lynden and enjoyed spending time with his family, working on the farm and with his cows.
He is survived at home by his wife Margritta; daughter Christine and husband Doug Hendricks and their children Natalie and Marika of Sumas, son Martin and wife Christa Schulz and daughter Karen Schulz all of Everson; three sisters and four brothers in Germany.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 16, at Noon in Sumas Cemetery followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm in Grace Baptist Fellowship, 338 North Park Street, Lynden, with Pastor Delaine Bailey officiating.
