Jerry Ernest Burneau went to be with his Lord Jesus, March 12, 2015. Jerry was born to James and Joan Bruneau on March 13, 1959 in Bellingham, WA. Jerry lived most of his life in Lynden. He spent a lot of years working alongside his brother, Mike Bruneau at A-1 Gutters. In his free time, you could find him in his garden tending to his roses or driving his white Cadillac on a sunny day with his Lab dog, Lexi. Jerry married Lydia along with her children Alyshea Tompke, 26, Braden Tompke, 24 and Shawn Tompke, 21. He loved the children as if they were his own and they in return loved him. They were together for eight years from 2001 – 2009.
Preceded in death by his youngest brother, Jeff Bruneau and stepmother Faye Bruneau; he is survived by brother Mike (Dixie) and their children Tyler, Travis, Bailey, Brianne and Brandy. He is also survived by aunt, Shirley Greene; uncle Jim (Janet) Crandall and their children Mason and Mandy all from Ponoka, Alberta, Canada; also Jen Terpsma and aunt Betty Gregory both of Cathlamet, WA and numerous cousins.
A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at NCCTK Church in the worship center, 1816 18th St. Lynden on Thursday, March 26 at 12:30 pm. You are invited to share your memories and condolences in the online guest book at www.gilliesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home of Lynden.
"We are just sojourners here, traveling through. Life is not the destination, Jesus gave us heaven—so we are not to lose heart; no cry of defeat only Victory in Jesus."
