My name is Mone't Darlene Shell and I was born on June 11, 1991 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. I was educated in the Roselle Public School System and later attended Union County College.

I was given the nickname "Mookie" by my family but I am known as "The Mone't."

I love to laugh and was full of quick comebacks and one-liners that would keep you laughing long after the moment. I was never one to hold my tongue.

I was considered as the unofficial reporter for the surrounding Union and Essex county areas. Even in the hospital, I could provide you with information. I always enjoyed being around my family, especially my cousins and when I was around a camera, I became the "Selfie Queen". I always took pleasure in hanging out with my best friends.
I am a loyal and generous soul. As a diva, I had my own style and dreamed of a life in the fashion industry. I felt that I would have a better quality of life when I made the critical decision to have a dual-lung transplant. I fought a long fight but succumbed to complications relating to my surgery. On December 15, 2015, surrounded by my family, I received my angel wings at the tender age of 24.

I am survived by my loving family, my parents: Robert and Monique Eden; brother: Justin Eden; step-brother: Walif Green (Chantel); sister: Kenyana; grandparents: Robert and Darlene Shell-Bracey; uncles: Clarence Shell (Mary); Robert Jr., Nathaniel, and Anthony Bracey, James (Michelle) and Paul Eden (Theresa), and James Horn; aunts: Jenique Jones, Simone Shell, LaKeisha Wall (Kenneth), Lori-Anne Eden (June), and Gloria-Jean Eden-Kennedy (Frank); along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

All my trials that I went through, my connection with the Lord was my strength. Family, "I fought a good fight, I finished my course, I kept the faith."
