Ronald "Mac" S. MacKenzie, 74, of Gardner, died Tuesday March, 15, 2016.
Ronald was born in Winchendon, November 15, 1941, son of the late Sterling and Irene (Caron) MacKenzie, and has lived in Gardner many years. His beloved wife Frances "Franie" A. (Burba) MacKenzie died April, 2011.
Mac was a talented mechanic, he worked for several auto dealers before retiring from Slavadore Auto. Mac graduated from Fitchburg High School. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Gene's Garage and Country Mischief, loved music and enjoyed both listening and collecting it. Mac's biggest passion was riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Mac will be missed by his brother and sister in-law; Armand and Marie (Burba) Savoie of Gardner, his brother; Donald MacKenzie of Gardner, his niece Ann Savoie of Athol, his nephew; Shawn Savoie and his wife Kim, of Jaffrey, NH, great-niece; Vanessa, and great-nephews; Mitch and his wife Sarah; Adam, Jay, Collin, and Dylan.
You are invited to attend a visiting hour in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10-11AM. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, West St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers donations in Mac's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
