David J. Marean, 74, of Hubbardston, died peacefully Monday evening February 8, 2016 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner after a brief illness.
David was born in Worcester, MA, a son of the late John and Thelma (Allen) Marean, and has lived in Hubbardston all his life.
David is a long time member of the First Parish Unitarian Church of Hubbardston. He enjoyed fishing, and feeding and watching birds. David enjoyed being out doors, and was an avid animal lover. Most of all David enjoyed spending time helping his family and friends, and spending time on Cape Cod.
David will be missed by his wife of over 29 years Taimi A. (Suojanen) Marean, three sons; Keith Marean of Hubbardston, Michael Marean of Hubbardston, and Gregory Marean of Templeton, two step-children; Justin Arsenault of Gardner, and Amber Kosewski of Templeton, his twin brother; Donald Marean of Hubbardston, two sisters; Barbara Hubbard of Hubbardston, and Susan Flagg of Hubbardston, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. David was predecased by an infant daughter, Julie Marean.
You are invited to attend visiting hours in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St. Gardner on Saturday February 13, 2016 from 10-11AM. His funeral will be held in the funeral home at 11AM. Burial will be in the spring.
