Maria Lydia (Pagano) Siecienski, 87, wife of the late Ernest Siecienski, of Fox Glen, Cromwell, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 14th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sebastiana (Flores) Pagano and lived in Cromwell for most of her life.
She was a member of St. John Church of Cromwell, the Ladies Guild at St. Mary’s Church and worked for the Russell Company and West Hill Convalescent Home in Rocky Hill before retiring.
Mrs. Siecienski is survived by two sons, Robert “Bob” J. Rand, Sr. and his wife Kathy of Cromwell and Ernest S. Siecienski and his wife Betty of Middletown; one brother, Salvatore “Danny” Pagano of Durham; two sisters, Phillys Proto of North Haven and Lucy Wanzer of Cromwell; two grandchildren, Robert Rand, Jr. and Carol Lynn and her significant other Bill; and one great granddaughter, Marrissa Lesick; several niece and nephews. She also leaves many great friends, her home health aide and great friend, Nancy King of Cromwell.
Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Michael Pagano, Emanuel Pagano, Jennie Passamano, Mary Scata, Josephine Lancia, and Florence LaMarr.
Funeral services will be held at St. John Church, 5 St. John Court on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Middletown.
Friends may call at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St., Cromwell, Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
