Cecile Marie (Godbout) Brady, 79, of Middletown, beloved wife of Brian G. Brady for 55 years, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Born in Fairfax, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Albertine (Hudon) Godbout.
Cecile lived in Middletown since 1961, was a member of Saint Pius X Church and worked for SNET for ten years and Wesleyan University for nineteen years as Chief Telephone Operator. Nothing pleased Cecile more than spending time with her family and especially her two grandchildren, Harper and Brady.
Along with her husband, Cecile is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M. Brady Jackson and her husband, Christian of Stow, MA and Laurielee G. Brady of CT; two brothers, Marc Godbout and his wife, Shirl of Middletown and Lionel Godbout and his wife, Kathy of Weymouth, MA; four sisters, Claudette Lafontaine and her husband, Paul of Southampton, MA, twin sister, Lucille Kiburtz and her husband, Bob of Saint Petersburg, FL, Pauline Godbout of Middletown and Rita Soule of Merrimack, NH; a sister-in-law, Constance Regan of Middletown and two grandchildren, Harper and Brady Jackson. She also leaves 27 nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, a brother and sister, Henry Godbout and Marielle Willette and three brothers-in-law, David Soule, William Regan and Sheldon Brady, predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 14 at 10:00 am at Saint Pius X Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.
