Raymond A. Huck passed away January 21, 2016 at the age of 96 at his home in Newington. Raymond was born May 6, 1919 in Kensington, and grew up in New Britain, moving with his young family to Newington in 1950. He was a graduate of Bentley College in Boston and served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. An accountant, Ray spent his career as a tax auditor for the State of Connecticut. He was an accomplished competitive gymnast and a member of the American Turners Club in Hartford. He and his wife were avid collectors of antique memorabilia.

Ray was predeceased in 2014 by his wife of 75 years, Elsie (Simonides) Huck, two whom he could not have been more devoted. Survivors include two daughters, Raelene Ali of Ridgefield and Geri Cohen of The Villages, FL, as well as there husbands, Mehdi Ali and Robert Cohen. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Samantha Seamans-Frizzell of Springfield, MA; Mehdi Ali, Jr. of New York, NY, and Hadi Ali of Boulder, Colorado; and two great grandchildren, Azur and Sage Ali.

Funeral services are Monday 12 Noon at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Calling hours are Monday morning from 11 AM until the time of the service. Burial with military honors will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
