Charles “Meadows” Puleo, 86 of Norristown passed away peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2017 at the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Born on March 29, 1931 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Diego & Philomena (Bono) Puleo. Charles was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served is country proudly. After returning from the military he went on to become a truck driver for Trooper Banana where he worked for many years before retiring. In his spare time he loved to bowl and was always involved in local leagues with many of his friends, and you could always find him at Lou’s Steak Shop with a smile on his face enjoying every moment. Charles was a caregiver and dedicated his time to helping others in need, whether it was taking friends to doctor appointments or taking care of his sister for many years when she was ill, he was always there to lend a helping hand. Meadows was loved by so many, he was a loving brother, uncle, and dear friend to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Charles is survived by one brother, Joseph Puleo; three nephews, Frank Puleo Jr., James Puleo, Russell Puleo Jr; and four nieces, Sharon D’Alessandro, Elaine Branco, Yvonne Puleo, and Linda Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lewandowski; and his three brothers Frank, Russell, William Puleo. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday October 30, 2017 from 11:00am-12:00pm, at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St. Norristown PA. 19401. Mass will follow the viewing at 12:00pm. Burial will take place is the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton PA. 19403.
