District Elder Jimmy B. Parrott, 60, entered eternal life Thursday February 24, 2011 in South Jersey Health Care Regional Medical Center in Vineland, NJ.
Born in Rossville, Tenn., he lived in Plainfield, NJ where he was a 1969 graduate of Plainfield High School. He attended Middlesex County College from 1969-1971 and later moved to Piscataway, NJ where he lived 14 years. At the time of his death, he lived in Vineland, NJ the last 22 years. Elder Parrott was employed as a truck driver with Serra Sausage, LLC in Vineland.
Elder Parrott was the pastor of Greater Evangelistic Temple COOLJC in Vineland. His church auxiliaries include the following: Brotherhood and Deacon Board, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Young Adult Choir Member, Saturday Morning Prayer Committee, Evangelical Diocese, Sunday School Superintendent, Evangelical Diocese Executive Secretary and the Evangelical Diocese Advisor to the Youth Departments.
He was predeceased by two brothers John and Elbert Parrott and a sister Betty Jean Walton.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Ruby Parrott; a son Roger Eugene Parrott of Voorhees, NJ; a daughter Ebony Nicole (Min. Justin) Postell of Lakewood, NJ; four granddaughters Jasmine Alicia, Nylah Simone, Jacynda Denise and Selena Marie; eight sisters Marie Davis, Ruby Bentley (Melvin Sr.), Cora Williams, Annie Parrott-Steward (Edward), Rosie Quarles (Alfred), Mary Owens, Deloris Harris (Ronnie) and Rosemary Cox; six brothers in law; three sisters in law and a host of other relatives and friends.
