Kathy C. Phillips, 54, departed this life Fri. July 7, 2017 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Point Fortin, Trinidad, West Indies, she resided in Plainfield 40 years. She was a 1980 graduate of Plainfield High School and a graduate of Wilfred Beauty Academy in Newark. Kathy was employed as a stylist with New U Beauty Salon and Spa in Irvington, NJ.
Surviving is her daughter Janelle Phillips; her parents Ainsworth and Lynn Phillips; two sisters Gail Phillips-Brown (Dale) and June Phillips; two brothers Kurt (Beth Walker-Grahm) and Terrance Phillips (Christine Fowler-Phillips); four nieces Ashley, Aaliyah, Madisyn and Nia Phillips; three nephews Troy Brown, Kurt Phillips II and Marcus Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends.
