Beloved Daughter, Sister Grand Daughter and Niece
Ms. Alexa N. Matthis, 23, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 22 from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m, there will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, March 22 at 8:00p.m.
Alexa was born on August 9th, 1992 in Las Vegas. She was a graduate of Faith Lutheran Jr. Sr. High School and Euphoria Institute in Las Vegas. Alexa moved to New Jersey where she worked as a bartender at Godfathers in East Hanover, NJ. She dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, her love for animals continued from childhood into her whole entire life.
She is survived by her parents Michael and Diane (nee Black) Matthis; her siblings Nicholas Matthis and his wife Martha, Erica Casale, Johnathan Matthis, her twin brother Michael Matthis. She is survived by her loving maternal grandparents Ed and Diane Black also her loving niece Nichole and her many dear cousins.
Alexa was the heart to her immediate family, she had the ability to light up every room she was in, her laugh and smile were extremely contagious, and she had the most beautiful soul.
